PNW Road Trip – Part 3 – Yakima and Heading Home

This is the third and final part of the PNW Road Trip Trilogy. For part 1 click here and part 2 click here

As we crossed the Columbia Gorge river we were officially the furthest away from home and so began the long journey North and home. Crossing the river I noticed something weird on Google Maps…. Stonehenge…. What? The Maryhill Stonehenge is a replica of the famous UK monument. It was commissioned after the First World War to commemorate the locals who died during WW1. Its pretty damn cool. The views from the monument were also insane!!

From here we headed north to Yakima which is abit remote and abit shit. We spent far too much money at Olive Garden (but the rumours are true…. the breadsticks are legit) and called it an early night.

The next day was our longest car ride back to Vancouver. We did manage a few stop offs as we tried to arrive to the US border late (to try an minimize queues) including the 270ft Snoqualmie Falls which were probably the most impressive of the many falls we had seen over the past 5 days.
