I AM 30

So here it is, I turned 30 today. The first welcome to old age cards and message filtered through social media.

Playing the birthday trump card I had planned to do what I love; hiking. The better the views the better the hike. In Phoenix this is limited but I wanted to take Sam up Camelback which I hiked last year on a business trip. I knew its a short and aggressively steep hike with incredible views. Physically challenging without taking allll day. Sounds perfect. Last time we hiked up and down the Echo Canyon side of the mountain. This time; with Tim and Carol picking us up we went up Echo Canyon and down the Chollo Valley (slightly less steep and slightly longer).

After the hike we had lunch in Old Scottsdale and did some birthday shopping!
